		<description>I could not agree more.  Interestingly in a very recent process the employees felt that having to go through a statutory process was adding to the distress - and could they not just select those that were going and tell them rather than having a selection process!  I think sometimes you just can't win.</description>

		<description>The emotional aspects of being made redundant should never be underestimated. Even though I understood the business case for my job being redundant and I was ready to try something new I still felt "rejected"... Add to that aspects like your friends at work no longer being accessible for a quick chat  and your routine being changed and it is little wonder that people feel vulnerable and react in unpredictable ways. Getting the process right is the least an employer can do. Anything else they can do to minimise the personal "hurt" is a bonus.</description>
