National Minumum Wage

National Minimum wage to increase

In October 2010, minimum wage is set to increase. Below sets out the changes.

For employees aged 16 to 17 the hourly minimum wage increase from £3.57 to £3.64 per hour.

For employees aged 21 and above will be entitled to £5.93 per hour, up from £5.80 per hour.

For apprenticeships, under 19 years of age, the minimum wage rate of £2.50, and to anyone over 19 who is in the first year of apprenticeship.
