2019 Updates

Long overdue blog from myself. I am pleased to say the main reason for the lack thereof is linked to how busy we have been at Gravitate HR and within the Glasgow office, or at least that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! Since the start of 2019, we have been working hard on client projects and service delivery which has seen us enter some new sectors and cover some interesting cases.

Milestones

Last week saw our 3rd anniversary of having been operational in Glasgow, I cannot believe how quickly that has come round! Cameron and I are enjoying working from our offices in Buchanan Street which we have now been in almost 1 year. We continue to focus on growing and developing our relationships in the city and enhancing our reputation for quality Human Resources services.

Business Updates

Within the wider business, there are exciting developments afoot. We have worked with strategic partners to deliver bespoke E-learning products to boost our offering to new and existing clients. We continue to strengthen our partnership with HR software firm Breathe HR. The platform allows clients to securely store their employee documentation, streamline processes such as performance reviews and holiday requests and obtain useful insight to trends and data within their business through reports.

From a team perspective, we are delighted to welcome new HR Assistants to both our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices at the end of May 2019, which will see the Glasgow team grow to 3. Our new recruits will introduce themselves to clients and contacts alike when the time arrives so more to follow from that perspective!

Seminars

Meanwhile we have been running our lunchtime seminars across both sites. Last week we welcomed Marianne McJannett of TC Young who spoke about upcoming changes to employment law and the latest likely impacts which Brexit may have on this topic. At the end of May, the Glasgow office will welcome Leanne and Aliyah of the Strathclyde University Sleep Research Unit to provide an interesting overview of the importance of sleep in maintaining positive physical and mental health.

Some tickets remain, so please sign up and join us there! Or if you want to get in touch about your outsourced HR needs, give us a call on 0141 459 7458.
